BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL ISSUES
Welcome to the Business and Professional Issues page. The module looks to 'provide students with a platform become self-reliant and resilient whilst engaging in authentic learning activities.' - Obtained from the I.T course guide from London South Bank University's VLE.
It goes on to say that students are encouraged to learn from failure, reflect on their learning experiences and maintain a personal development portfolio.
Below are tasks that I have completed below for the above module.

Business and Professional Issues Tasks
This task refers to a video and the first chapter of the Study Skills handbook which looks to focus on the core elements of independent study and life at university. Within this document is my thoughts on both the video and the chapter where I talk about the skills I already possess as well as skills I could look to gather throughout the duration of my course.
This task looks to make ourselves think outside the box and gain skills such as criticising - being able to look at the positives and negatives behind each source we analyse. In this document, I focused on analysing the university's VLE and after reading the chapter, I was able to gain knowledge on the importance of being able to develop a critique for any source of information.
This task required deep thinking as to what rules I should set for myself and what I look to expect from university. The task required deep thinking as these rules were meant to be followed from the minute the document was formed, it was the basis of a good student-teacher relationship and with this document, I feel I can refer to it at any time if I feel certain guidelines are not being met either by myself or by the teacher.
This is a document containing my skills and areas of development as a student and an individual. This task allowed me to reflect on how far I've come from childhood to where I am now - university level. Within this document particular skills are outlined and I believe these skills is what will set me aside from someone else who may have completed the same degree as myself.
This task related to reflecting on the critical thinking talk as well as the chapter read from the Study Skills book. In this document are outlines of what the talk was about and what I managed to get out of the talk. It goes on to further describe how I can use these skills in my own area of study and how I could use critical thinking to develop myself as an individual.
This task related to a self reflection on four activities that were carried out in relation to the topic: critical thinking. Again, like the previous task it aimed to further develop skills in analysing information and being able to come to quick judgements as to whether the information has value or whether it is one-sided (bias).
This task related to a reflective practice (how to write a constructive reflection) on my research paper that I recently submitted. Within this document, I have outlined the problems I faced and how I overcame these issues. Moreover, I discussed strategies that I would undertake if I was to produce a similar research paper again.
This is a revisited version of my first research paper submission with further altering made upon my previous mistakes in order to boost my marks for this particular paper.
This is a collaborative document which was constructed by myself and my group members in which we took notes and wrote a report on our understanding of a selected video.
This is a document which was constructed by myself and group members in which we discussed how ethical a scenario can turn out to be and reported any disagreements or any agreements we had. We also used this discussion to propose ideas as to what strategies a person can undertake in order to make their actions more ethical and law-abiding.
This document consists of my second and final research paper for this semester in which I researched smartphones and whether it had any chance of replacing our personal computers. Within this document contains feedback in particular sections of my assignment where areas of improvements have been highlighted in order for me to gain a higher mark if I was to do a similar research paper once again.
This crossword is based upon the CAPCO case study that was to be read during the lab session in Week 11.
This document consists of tasks completed during the lab session in Week 11 where questions based on organizational structures were answered as well as creating my own organization chart, demonstrating what I learned throughout the lesson.
